Pagan music

I just wanted to share some music that I discovered over winter break and really like. The singers might have had a little more practice before recording some of the songs, but it is still really soothing to listen to.

There are even more songs on their CD.

Very nice! We sing some of these chants at my Women's Drumming and Goddess Chanting Circle. We sing "The River is Flowing" with a slightly different melody and with a second verse as well:

The moon she is changing,
Waxing and waning.
The moon she is changing,
High above me.

Sister moon, watch over me --
Your child I shall always be --
Sister moon, watch over me
'Til I am free.

How lovely! I've danced to Born of Water in a drumming circle. The singers were two guys from a local commune; they have a voice that belongs together. My body usually moves to the beat of the drums, but when the sing I sway with my eyes closed and all hear with they voice. I'll see if they let me record something during our next Dark Moon circle. The quality won't be good (I don't have that kind of equipment) but I'll share it anyway. They are amazing.

Thanks for sharing darling.

Debra -- thanks for sharing those lyrics! I was already familiar with some of the songs before I found them on YouTube.

Magaly -- I would love to see a recording of it, whatever the quality. :)
