I must say, I'm somewhat impressed with the number of comments that I got on my last post. If only most of them were actually relevant to the topic, and weren't trying to tell me how to get more followers or trying to advertise something. There were so many of those that I actually lost count, and am now even more impressed with the Blogger spam filter.

FYI, I also consider comments consisting only of "Very interesting post" and a random link to be advertising in disguise, and therefor spam.

That's not to say that I mind off topic comments. They just need to still be relevant to the blog, or some form of genuine communication that's not trying to sell me something.

Anyways, thank you to Toriz and Debra for sharing comments which were actually relevant to the post and this blog. :)

No problem. At least there are some people out there who take the time to read what they're commenting on. Even if it's only 2 of us in every... Well, however many it was.

Some of my longest cackles happen as I browse through my Blogger spam folder. They are just too ridiculous; I'm always getting stuff about sexy sights, or naked fun... pure crap. But Blogger has been very good in that regard, for they rarely reach Pagan Culture ;-)

Toriz -- I think about 10 bits of spam for the last post, but when I looked on my "spam inbox" for Blogger there were about 100 more spam that people had tried to put on various other posts over the last week or so.

Magaly -- For a while I kept getting spammy comments that weren't in this language and had links to porn. I eventually learned not to click on links.

I just redid the settings on my blog so that a person cannot comment anonymously. I didn't used to have trouble with anonymous commenters, but most (if not all) of my spam is from anonymous users now. :(
